This course provides students with the knowledge and tools to drive environmental and social responsibility in the business sector. Part 1 focuses on creating business case for sustainability, and part 2 explores . the practical tools required to implement sustainable solutions throughout a businesses’ value chain such as strategy development, supply chain management, philanthropy, and political advocacy.

This course teaches you the fundamentals of a circular economy, the business value in a circular economy, how business models are presently shifting, and most importantly, why businesses should become part of this transformational shift.

Masters of the Environment (MENV) is a nationally recognized and leading professional program in sustainability focused on developing the next sustainability leaders. In only 6 years, MENV grew to become the largest professional program at the University of Colorado Boulder and now one of the largest and leading sustainability professional programs in the US.

Leading Sustainable Community Transformation is a MOOC (massive open online class) series focused on leadership and stakeholder engagement with >15,000 students enrolled annually. MOOCs can bring knowledge to students who may not have access otherwise, and be of use to learners who can't afford the costs of higher education. Three courses in this specialization:

Outdoor Recreation Economy (ORE) is the nation’s only comprehensive professional program supporting the $862B outdoor industry. Leading edge online program that can be customized for each individual to accelerate their career and allow learners to study in the community where they work. This online program broke barriers in accessibility, created novel upskilling opportunities for working professionals, and launched industry-leading curriculum.

The Master in Community Development Policy & Practice through the University of New Hampshire was the first sustainable development program for professionals in the northeast US. Geared toward working professionals, the MCDPP program equips students for a myriad of careers and jobs while preparing them through real-world training and connecting students to community-based partners and practitioners.

The Outdoor Industry Business Certificate (OIBC) is a first of its kind program that brings together the Outdoor Industry Association’s deep industry knowledge with universities’ world-class faculty to provide online, self-paced, non-credit certificates that address critical outdoor industry topics.
